The NiaMichelle Scholarship Award


The “NiaMichelle Scholarship” Award was established under the umbrella of the Soup-n-Share Outreach Program in memory of NiaMichelle Hilbert. We wish to honor her legacy and continue her work by demonstrating the love she showed for the Madison community through supporting young people striving to further their education.

To apply for the scholarship, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Madison or Venice and attend Madison High School. The student must submit an essay that focuses on the applicant’s community service and their intended career path. Applicants have the option of responding to the prompt by submitting a 3-5 minute video in lieu of a written essay.

Award Amount: 
$500
(to be used for tuition, books, or other education-related expenses)

Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:59pm

Selected recipient(s) will be notified via email and will be presented with their scholarship during the Madison High School Pinning/Awards Luncheon.
Required Qualifications are as follows:
  • Current Senior at Madison High School
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Minimum 300-word essay (or 3-5 min video): How have you contributed to the betterment of your community, and what are your intended career goals?
  • Permanent resident of Madison or Venice, IL
  • Able to provide a current High School Transcript
  • Attending a College/Trade School/Certificate Program after high school graduation
